| Personal History | Phelan Ward was born on Earth on 12-21-43. He is the only child to two Star Fleet retirees. The Ward family has a long tradition of Star Fleet service since its conception. The Ward family passed onto Phelan the old fashioned tradition of “God, Honor, and Country”. This has been the family credo for centuries. He served in Star Fleet from 2359 to his retirement from Active Duty in 2382. Phelan’s specialty was Tactics, which he has practiced from his assignment as a Tactical Officer, Command of the USS Sentinel, all the way to his command of the Alpha Division of the Fourth Fleet. Phelan has an interesting medical modification. During the first mission of the Sentinel, Captain Ward had a device implanted in his brain. This device blocks any kind of telepathic manipulation, or readings. Phelan Ward currently serves as Governor of the Alpha Centauri System. He holds the rank of Admiral in the Star Fleet Reserves. During his time as Governor, he has become a staunch supporter over Planetary Rights as outlined in the Federation charter. He opposes what many worlds are now opposing, an over reaching Federation government which has increased its micro management of member worlds, beyond the original charter. He was very successful in this task, resulting in a Federation government that now adheres to the mandated checks and balances between itself, and the sovereignty of its member worlds. Upon reaching his term limit as Governor of Alpha Centauri, he reverted back to his status as a Star Fleet Reservist, until Fleet Admiral Bremer called him on yet another favor. | |
