| General Overview | Much like the other La Baron men to serve in Starfleet before him, Anthony has the soul of an explorer. Despite the urges to explore, Anthony works so diligently that it keeps him from venturing out into the stars. Anthony can be be quite the charmer when he finds somebody worth "putting the moves on." This charming ability is somewhat superficial as he can be quite awkward when he is infatuated with someone. | |

| Personal History | Anthony was born in 2367, aboard the USS Atlanta. He was the product of an affair between the then-married Captain Thomas La Baron and JAG Officer Lieutenant Commander Tina Rodrigo. Owning up to his mistakes, Thomas claimed his son and raised him aboard the Atlanta at the cost of the marriage to his wife on Earth. Despite his parent’s never marrying, both of them raised Anthony to the best of their abilities. At night, Thomas would tell his young son the harrowing tales of his great grandfather Damien La Baron’s exploits as Captain of the USS Bonaventure a century before he was born. Anthony’s mother would teach his son of the history and culture of Humanity. By the age of 6 Anthony knew he would be a Starfleet Officer like his parents. It was at that age that Anthony also experienced his greatest tragedy. In 2373 the Dominion War began. Thomas and Tina both knew that the USS Atlanta was no longer a safe place to raise their child. As a result, Tina accepted an assignment on Earth, far from the reach of the war. While en route to Earth, the USS Atlanta was attacked by a squadron of Jem’Hadar fighters. Young Anthony experienced firsthand the hell of war. While victorious in battle, the Atlanta was severely damaged. Amongst the extensive casualties, was Anthony’s mother. The Dominion War required Thomas to be on the front lines. Before Anthony had time to heal, his father sent him to Earth to live with his mother’s grandparents while he took command of the USS Carthage. Miguel and Mariana Rodrigo did their best to raise their shell shocked grandson. In truth Anthony felt resentment towards his father for leaving him and immense grief for the loss of his mother. Anthony’s Grandparents were both retired independent traders. Their stories of exotic cultures and alien worlds kept Anthony’s dreams of space alive despite the trauma he endured. After the end of the War, Thomas La Baron would occasionally visit his son on shore leave. In the year 2385 at the young age of 18, Anthony lived up to his family name by enrolling in Starfleet Academy. Committing a blasphemy against his forefathers, Anthony declared a major in Stellar Cartography. He graduated in 2389 with honors in the fields of Science and with a critical failure on the Kobayashi Maru test. As quickly as he graduated, freshly promoted Ensign La Baron was put on deep space duty aboard Starbase 400. |
