Physical Description		Lithe. Agile. Quick. The little man moves with confidence. Bright purple eyes constantly scan his surroundings, yet often appear lost in thought. His orange-amber complexion appears rough and leathery. His dual central lobes appear to have a tighter pattern than many Ferengi. There is a confidence about him, even in the face of larger adversaries or dangerous situations. This shows itself in his facial expressions.

Personality & Traits

General Overview		Nez was never satisfied with having one foot in the door. He needed total control, all hands and feet in and working together to control and expand his interests. The grubby Ferengi temporarily left his businesses in the hands of family, including his cousin while he served with Starfleet. Nez was tricked into joining as a Federation-desired security recruit, by a wily recruiter who tricked him into taking “a bet”. The bet turned out to be nothing more than a signing bonus of Federation credits to non-Federation species who enlisted to join the notoriously credit-less Starfleet organization with a standard one time payment. Nez proved himself capable enough though, if not a bit skittish. He served within the Fourth Fleet aboard several stations and ships. This includes an assignment on the tropical planetside base colloquially called Hawkeye Island. There were several occasions where he helped secure vessels from hostile boarding attempts. Nez also took part in a fairly calamitous set of skirmishes between Gorn and Klingon forces. Now Nez is once again an independent entrepreneur. His mentality is better tailored to work with Starfleet’s moderate social concepts compared to backwards ‘Old World Feriginar’ values. Of course there are some views he keeps to himself which he probably can’t shake. His time with the Federation still helps him better understand ‘the hyoomans’ now.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Nez is hampered by being halfway connected to Starfleet and halfway out. The reason for the latter is his Ferengi nature. He’s less likely to do what it takes to make the highest shady profits. Nez is also too Ferengi to concern himself with the ideologies of the Federation. The mental balance takes a toll on Nez. He works alright as a junior operations officer, but is still a better businessman.
Ambitions		Nez is looking to expand his business holdings and network of shops. He’s serving aboard a Marauder to prep for the day when he invests in his own ship.
Hobbies & Interests		Nez enjoys collecting weapons as a result of his time in Starfleet. This can be an expensive hobby. He’s begun getting into the trade of historic or culturally significant weapons. Of course the utmost concerns are undertaken to ensure former Gunnery Sergeant Nez follows Federation Law when applicable.

Personal History		Nez is known for his former enlisted career with Starfleet and for his entrepreneurial spirit. The circumstances behind how and why the Ferengi left his lucrative business to don the pipless uniform of a crewman recruit only to return make a storied tale. It started with a bet between him and his cousin on one stormy Feriginar evening. Nez was making a fortune dealing with the Federation at the time. Nez wagered that affiliating himself with Starfleet would further cement future contracts and increase his business dealings.
