Some News Nuggets

Hey everyone!

I see posting has slowed a little, but we do have a few people on some mini-LOAs. Let's try to post up though...we're nearing the climax of Mission 81 and we'll have something new planned for Mission 82!

I wanted to let you all know about 2 Projects I'm working on.

1) A slight update to SB400's FLASH page, http://starbase400.org/lcarstemplate.htm. You'll see a few minor changes to the flash animation, but the biggest change is on 'Main' (its on the left panel). There is a new 'image roundabout' that was coded last night. It'll display between 4 and 6 images, giving some tips on what you'll find on the SB400 site, hopefully drawing in some users and players!

2) Now this I'm really excited about. For years (since old BF days 97-10) I'd speak to Rick Sternbach from time to time about Star Trek Tech, etc. Well, last night we were chatting via FaceBook and he had agreed to do a sit down interview with me to be posted exclusively on the Starbase 400 site in the News Section!! Question will range from his opinion of the SB400 site, his take on the JJ Abrams's Trek Universe, what projects he's working on, etc. I'm hoping to do a few more with some of the people behind Star Trek from time to time to go along with the current interviews with other Trek webmasters (Ex Astris Scientia webmaster Bernd Schneider's is posted now with Adge Cutler, webmaster of Adge's Star Trek soon to be posted) as well as more upcoming Character and Player interviews!

I'm really trying to get the SB400 site know for more than just the simm, but as a Trek Database and News source too.
